10. Text Messaging (SMS)

We use text messaging for operational purposes only, and only where the recipient has asked to receive messages:

Couriers (drivers): Houston's Courier dispatch texts go only to our own couriers who sign up by texting JOIN to (713) 770-6397. They cover delivery job assignments, job changes and cancellations, and messages from our dispatchers, sometimes with a photo, a link or a phone number. Couriers who have not signed up are contacted by phone call instead. Program details and opt-out instructions are on our driver text message page.
Clients: We do not send text messages to clients about orders or deliveries, and we never send marketing or promotional text messages.
Mobile numbers and text consent are never shared. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We never sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Opting out and help: Reply STOP to any of our texts to stop texts from that number, or HELP for help. Couriers can also ask dispatch to stop texting them. You may also call us at (713) 592-0000 or email info@houstonscourier.com.
Frequency and rates: Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply under your own plan with your mobile carrier. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
